American Montessori Society
The American Montessori Society (AMS) was founded in 1960 at the Whitby School in Greenwich, Connecticut. The organization seeks to promote Montessori Education in both the private and the public schools. Nancy McCormick Rambusch was the first president of AMS.
AMS offers teacher training, grants, information, and other resources to help promote the Montessori method.
